Kobe beef, again
I am working during this holiday weekend in Japan. My job as a junior translator can be very demanding but I have found some joy within the duty… which are dinner assignments. We usually take our guests for Sushi and Kobe beef, and I cannot help smiling.
*A little knowledge
Authentic Kobe beef is produced from 450 pure-bred cows in a year and almost none of their product is exported abroad. What is called “Kobe beef” in foreign countries may be just some Japanese-produced beef. (According to the president of “Kawamura,” who owns steak houses in Kobe and in Ginza, Tokyo.)
