今月は仕事でアメリカから若い研修医をお迎えしました。私が初めて通訳を務めた出張で当時学生だった彼女と出会って以来、4年ぶりの再会です。仕事はもちろん真剣に。食事やおしゃべりは楽しく。今はつぼみのような彼女も、数年の内に優秀なドクターになられることでしょう。

Doctor in Training
We had a young American doctor-in-training at work earlier
this month. 4 years had passed since we first met in the States when she was a
student and I was a beginner interpreter. We worked hard and enjoyed dining and
chatting as well. I am sure that this budding doctor today will be a competent doctor
in a few years.
