兄とは仲の良い兄妹だったのに、お互いに仕事と家庭を持つようになり、疎遠になっていました。去年、兄がタイに単身赴任してからは、お正月に一度会ったきりです。最近になって、両親のことや自動車の購入について相談するために久しぶりに電話で話したら、やはり兄は兄でした。口下手だけど、思いやりはあるのです。
Brother and Sister
My big brother and myself used to be close siblings, but our
relationship drifted away as we both got jobs and families. We only met once
since he moved to Thailand for work away from his family. I had a chance to
talk with him on the phone about our parents and my plan of car-shopping recently
and it reassured me that he has not changed essentially. He is a man of few
words with a good heart.
