やさしい笑顔

先日、本屋に寄ったときのこと。やさしい笑顔の帯につられて開いた詩集に、心なごまされました。90歳を過ぎてから詩作を始めた柴田トヨさんは、現在101歳になられるそうです。彼女の夢は、自分の詩集が翻訳されて世界中の人の読まれることだとか。 

A gentle smile
When I stopped at a book store the other day, a gentle smile on the cover of a poetry book drew my attention and I picked it up. The poems were so comforting. Mrs Toyo Shibata started to compose in her 90s and she is now 101 years of age. Her dream is to have her poetry translated and introduced to people around the world.
