先日、ロシアで小学生の教育に折り紙を取り入れているという話を聞きました。子どもの頃から折り紙で育まれた日本人の根気や細やかさが、日本製品の質の高さにつながっているという考えからだそうです。習ってから何年経っても、基本の手順は手が覚えているものです。

Origami
I heard that they are adopting origami in elementary
education in Russia the other day. It is based on an idea that high-quality Japanese
products come from the patience and pinpoint precision of Japanese people who
are trained with origami from childhood. Many years have passed since I learnt
it, but my hands still know the basic patterns.
