今週は広島で集中豪雨による大きな被害が発生しました。神戸でもこの夏は雨が多く、近所の川も水かさが増したままです。防災は心がけたいけれど、母なる自然の威力を前に私たちがどれだけ無力かということを思わずにはいられません。

There was a big disaster caused by a concentrated downpour
in Hiroshima this week. We have had much rain this summer in Kobe, too, and I
found our local river swollen for a while. While we keep disaster prevention in
our mind, I cannot help feeling how helpless we are in front of the power of
Mother Nature.
