バッファローの大雪のニュースを見ました。私の5年間の生活では経験したことのないような猛吹雪だったようです。週末に義父母への連絡を試みましたが、旅行に出かけていたようで、通じませんでした。現在は一時的に気温が上がっているらしく、そうなると融雪による洪水の恐れがあります。冬本番はまだこれから。どうか、あまり厳しい季節になりませんように。
Whiteout
I saw the news of very heavy snow in Buffalo. It looked like
an extreme blizzard which I never experienced in my 5 years there. We tried to
contact Eric’s parents during the weekend, but it seemed they were traveling
somewhere and we could not reach them. Now, the temperature in the area is rising
higher temporarily and melting snow could cause flooding. This is still the
beginning of winter and I hope this will not be a severe one.
