先週末は一人で帰省していました。13回目の命日を迎えた祖母のお墓参りや中学時代の同窓会、そして他にもいくつか用事があったのです。限られた時間ではあったけれど、会いたかった人たちと顔を見て話すことができ、元気を分けてもらいました。色んな所を訪ねてきましたが、やはり故郷は良いものです。
Familiar Faces
I visited my hometown this past weekend by myself. Among other
things, I had some business including a grave visitation for the 13th
anniversary of my grand-mother’s death and a reunion of my junior high school.
Although the time was limited, it was encouraging for me to talk with familiar
people face to face. After visiting so many different places, nowhere is better
than hometown.
