我が家の最近ひと月の電気代は3,000円代前半でした。節電を心がけているけれど、去年の同月よりも増えてしまったのは、料金値上げのためだけではないように思います。3.11から2年余りが過ぎ、私たちの節電意識は少し薄れてしまっているのかもしれません。
福島原発の汚染処理が片付かないまま、日本からの原発輸出が数年前に決まっていたベトナムに加えて、安倍首相がトルコやインドへの輸出を推進していると聞きました。重大な事故を起こした国として、万一の場合にも確実に処理できるシステムを一緒に輸出するのではなければ、これは無責任ではないでしょうか。
個人的には、国内・国外に関わらず、もっと自然エネルギーを活用する方法を開発してほしいと考えています。最近、風力発電設備の破損事故もありましたが、少なくともこの事故による被害は、空気や水に混ざって広がったりしませんから…。
Thinking about Energy
Our most recent electric bill was a little over 3,000 yen,
which is more than last year’s bill for the same month, despite our effort to
reduce energy usage. It may not only because of the rising rate, but also because
we have been a little less conscious about electric consumption after over 2
years since 3.11.
According to the news, Mr Abe, the Japanese Prime Minister, has
been promoting the export of nuclear power systems to Turkey and India, in addition
to Vietnam where an agreement was made a few years ago. We are not even close to finishing
with our Fukushima pollution and I am afraid it is irresponsible of us, as a
country where we have serious problems going on, to export nuclear power systems
without measures for any possible disasters.
I personally hope that we could develop better systems to
use natural resources both inside and outside of the country. I know that there
was a case of a wrecked wind power system recently, but this kind of accident
would not spread damage through air or water at least…
