ここのところ、テレビの天気予報で桜の開花情報を伝えています。今日は朝から気持ちよく晴れていたので、エリックと二人で夙川（しゅくがわ）に桜を見に行きました。満開の桜と大勢の人出にも関わらず、少し寂しく見えたのは、去年の今頃亡くなった友だちのことを思ったからかもしれません。

Cherry blossoms full in bloom
They have been announcing how well the cherry blossoms are in bloom on the weather forecast on TV these days. Eric and I went to Shukugawa to see some today, since it was beautiful from the morning. They looked a little sad, despite the full bloom and the crowd of people. It may be because I thought of my friend who passed away about this time last year.
